A Higher Standard Starts Here
Lake Norman properties need roofing systems that can stand up to heat, humidity, heavy rain, wind, and year-round exposure. From lakefront homes in The Peninsula to commercial properties near Birkdale, our Charlotte-based roofing company provides trusted roof inspection, repair, restoration, and replacement services throughout the Lake Norman area.
We serve residential and commercial customers with practical roofing solutions designed to protect your property, improve performance, and help you get the most life out of your existing asphalt shingle roof.
Our Lake Norman roofing services include:
Asphalt Shingle Roof Inspections: A roof problem can start small and quickly lead to interior damage, moisture issues, and costly repairs. Our roof inspections help Lake Norman property owners identify concerns early, including missing shingles, granule loss, cracked shingles, flashing problems, soft spots, ventilation issues, and signs of water intrusion.
Asphalt Shingle Roof Repair: Not every roofing issue requires a full replacement. If the damage is isolated, our asphalt shingle roof repair services can help restore protection and extend the life of your roof.
Storm and Wind Damage Repair: High winds, hail, and severe storms can loosen shingles, damage flashing, and compromise your roof's ability to protect your property. Our team provides prompt storm and wind damage repairs to restore your roof after severe weather.
Roof Restoration: For many aging asphalt shingle roofs, replacement is not the only option. Our proprietary roof restoration solution Shingleton™ is designed to help extend the service life of qualifying asphalt shingle roofs while improving durability and weather resistance. Roof restoration may be a smart choice if your roof is worn but still structurally sound. It can help reduce the need for premature replacement, improve the appearance of your roof, and provide added protection against the elements.
Full Asphalt Shingle Roof Replacement: When your roof has reached the end of its useful life, our team provides complete asphalt shingle roof replacement services. We install quality roofing systems built to protect your property while complementing the look of your home or building.

I would definitely recommend these guys to anyone! Dan gave me a quick estimate, and got me on the schedule right away. The work was completed within 3 weeks of my meeting with him. His crew was fast and efficient and the new roof on my house and garage looks AMAZING! They also cleaned up after themselves very well! If it wasn’t for the beautiful new roof, I wouldn’t know that had been here! From start to finish it only took them 7-8 hrs!!!

Called them because Roofing Companies keep telling me I need a roof replacement and Insurance keeps telling me I just need repairs. Roof Scientist does both. Had an initial meeting where they came to look at my roof. Zac climbed on roof and documented some initial issues, and that he does see plenty of indications that a new roof is needed... offered to come back and do a comprehensive inspection involving taking 100s of photos, offered to meet the insurance inspector as well. I really appreciate the time Sean and Zac took, and to explain to me what they saw. It was a great initial impression, and now I look forward to the rest of the process (pricing for different options, joint meeting with insurance, etc...)

Roof Scientist Appleton was incredible to work with. They pulled up at the time they said they would be there Put tarps out to protect the flowers/bushes and to collect trash from the roof. During the project I was at work, I was updated with the progress of job through texts at different times of the day. I was also texted if they had any questions. Once the project was done, they went around to make sure everything was out if the gutters, blew off my driveway and patio, and used magnets to find all the nails on the driveway and grass around the house. They left the job area way better then they found it. I will definitely tell everyone to use Roof Scientist Appleton again.

Roof Scientists installed new gutters and did a professional cleaning of the existing roof that had 8 years of brown/black buildup. Both the gutter installation and the roof cleaning were superior!! The roof looks like a new one after the cleaning.

I’ve used Roof Scientists multiple times over past year for both roof repairs and a full roof replacement, and my experience has been great. Dale Speckman and Luke Speckman make an incredible father-son team. They are knowledgeable, honest, responsive, and truly take pride in the quality of their work. From small repairs to a complete replacement, they’ve always communicated clearly, showed up when they said they would, and delivered excellent craftsmanship. As a Realtor, having reliable contractors is essential—not only for my own home, but also for my clients. I confidently refer Dale and Luke to buyers and sellers because I know they’ll be well taken care of. It’s reassuring to have professionals I can trust to represent my business just as well as they represent their own. If you’re looking for a roofing company that’s dependable, skilled, and genuinely cares about its customers, I recommend Roof Scientists. Steve

Was having issues with excess attic heat, so called Roof Scientist to come and check things out. They showed up when they said they would, were very professional, and made recommendations to help. The quote was very reasonable, so we scheduled the service. Extremely happy with using Roof Scientist!

I am pleased to write this review for Roof Scientist of Fishers. I am frequently asked to write reviews for businesses, but I do so sparingly and only after I have had sufficient time to be completely satisfied with the quality of the work performed. Like many homeowners in central Indiana, I had algae streaking on the north-facing sections of my roof that needed to be cleaned. Luke came to my home, thoroughly explained their cleaning process, and provided a fair and reasonable estimate. He assured me they would use only the minimum amount of cleaning solution necessary and, if additional cleaning was needed, they would return to make it right. That is exactly what they did. They returned to complete additional cleaning where needed and did not request payment until I was completely satisfied with the results. Throughout the process, Luke was courteous, responsive, and committed to ensuring the job was done properly. My roof now looks great, and I also learned about the other roof maintenance and protection services offered by Roof Scientist of Fishers. I will not hesitate to use them again in the future and highly recommend them to any homeowner looking for an honest, professional roofing company.
